Sharing stories from our very own, “Brides of Blush” is one of our favorite things about our business! We love the wedding industry because each bride comes to us with her own unique, style and wedding dreams!

It can be hard to be decisive as a bride but Paige had a confidence and energy that made it a true joy to work with! Not only did her personality shine through, Paige is stunning and looked amazing in every gown she tried on!

Below, we share her experience and personal tips for wedding planning stressors and brides looking for their dream gown! Enjoy!

1. As a bride, you have several choices in the area to find your wedding gown. What brought you to Blush Bridal?

Blush Bridal was a no brainer for me. I had used the store in the past for prom dresses and felt so comfortable there and had such great service, no other bridal shops even came to mind. Everyone was so warm and helpful, you felt like you were more than just another customer. The atmosphere of the shop truly made finding your perfect dress even more memorable.

2. In a few words, can you tell us how you and your husband met?

As cliché as it sounds, I met my husband at a wedding. My sister was a bridesmaid and he was a groomsman. I actually was not planning on going to the wedding because I was just so discouraged that I couldn’t find love. I didn’t want to go to a wedding where that was all I saw. It turned out that I caught the bouquet and he caught the garter! After the wedding, we all went bowling and I was able to have some one-on-one time with him and the rest is history!

3. How did you know which dress was the one for you?

I’m someone who doesn’t show a lot of emotion so I’m sometimes hard to read. I had an idea in my mind of what type of dress I wanted but I was open to everything. I really liked the idea of a blush pink or champagne color dress so that narrowed down the dress selection. In less than an hour, about the 6th dress in, I put on a dress that made me feel like a princess. It just worked for me and I knew that I found it. I said to my mother, sister and bridesmaid, “this is it, that was easy” and they all looked at me like they missed something. I didn’t start crying or jumping up and down, I was just like, this is what I feel good in so why try to find something better. I’m still obsessed with my dress to this day.

4.What was your favorite part of the wedding?

Honestly, the best part of my wedding was to see how happy and relaxed everyone was. Our wedding just had a nice flow to it, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves which was such a relief.

Also, that moment when you are announced for the first time as a married couple, and walk down the aisle with your now husband was a memorable moment! I mean, when else will you have an entire room cheer for you solely on the fact that they are so happy for you?

5. Where was your wedding held?

My wedding was held at Stoltzfus Homestead and Garden in Intercourse, PA. The venue worked perfectly for us. There were plenty of ceremony spaces to choose from and the reception was held at the same location in a historic barn. Outside, there was a fire pit and game area and just so much room to roam, which our guests really enjoyed! It was relaxed yet classy which can be very hard for a wedding venue to pull off.

6. What advice would you give brides as they are preparing for their wedding?

Wedding planning is as stressful as you make it. Yes, there will be things out of your control, but people are going to be happy for you whether or not the flowers match your bridesmaids dresses perfectly or not. What I’m trying to say is, although details are important, just remember to enjoy the process rather than learn to hate it. Surround yourself with the right people and support system and the rest will come easy!

7. What words of wisdom would you pass onto brides for their wedding day?

Make sure everyone eats lunch or a snack before the ceremony! It’s a small detail that is sometimes overlooked, but you want everyone to be at their best when it’s time to walk down the aisle. Other than that, try not to get upset over the small things. Know that this day will go by really fast, and remember the true meaning of what this day is about. Sometimes brides are so focused on the hosting part and the “entertainment” part of the wedding, they lose sight of the true meaning of your wedding. When you focus on the fundamentals of a wedding, it will truly be special and meaningful for you and your spouse.
