As many of you know, giving back is something that we aim to be extremely intentional about here at Blush Bridal. A large number of you have commented on the causes we give back to, and have shared how much those organizations and causes mean to you personally. We have loved hearing how purchasing your dress here at Blush Bridal has been extra special for you, knowing that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a charitable cause.
After hearing about the horrific fires in California this past month, and seeing videos and photos of the devastation, we knew that giving back to an organization that was working to help there was something we wanted to do. The areas of Chico and Paradise were affected greatly by these fires, so for the month of December, we will be donating a portion of our proceeds to the CAMA Disaster Relief Fund. Statistics regarding the fire have been released periodically as there are new discoveries, but as of now the fires have killed 88 people and destroyed more than 10,000 homes. Many of the victims have been displaced and are being housed in churches and evacuation centers that have opened in light of the tragedy. The CAMA Disaster Relief Fund has already actively been providing financial help to Neighborhood Church, one of the sites that opened their doors to those affected by the fires, as it was turned into a Red Cross Evacuation Center that has housed up to 600 people at one time since the devastation.
